Announcing the 2025 Greener Grinder Recipient – Kendall Tanner

Each year, we award the Greener Grinder Bursary — a $2,500 contribution toward rent, tuition, or books — to a Nova Scotia university student who’s funding their own way through school.

This year’s recipient, Kendall Tanner, exemplifies what the Greener Grinder is all about: hard work, resilience, and grit.

Kendall is entering her third year at Acadia University, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (Co-op), majoring in Marketing. Balancing multiple jobs — from barista to brand ambassador — Kendall’s drive and determination allow her to stay focused on her studies while supporting herself financially.

She embodies the same spirit that inspired this bursary: showing up every day, putting in the work, and staying committed to building a better future — even when the path isn’t easy.
